SUMMARY:TALK
DESCRIPTION:What is a portrait? by Tom Peck (Zoom talk)\nhttps://www.thomaspeckphotography.com/\n\n\n\n\n\nThis presentation will look at the history of photographic portraiture from the Victorian beginnings through to our selfie culture of the 21st Century. It traces how portraits have evolved from pictorialism through to post modernism\, and will delve into social documentary\, fashion\, celebrity and even  portrait ‘notoriety’. It unravels the question of what is a portrait\, and who creates it? The photographer? The sitter? The viewer? \n\n\n\nA 2 hour tour of portraits from the last 170 years – you’ll never look at a portrait in the same way again.\n\n\n\n\n \nContemplation

SUMMARY:SATURDAY PHOTOWALK
DESCRIPTION:ALRESFORD \n  \nWe will meet at 10:00 for a two hour walk around the picturesque town of Alresford. \nSee our website for outdoor risk assessment. \nWhat do I need? • Camera • Short Zoom lens • Comfy walking shoes \nWhat will I learn? • Thinking about the photos you take • Composition • Presenting the location from your perspective \nStory telling is about you telling a story of the location you visited\, it can include landmarks\, things the location is known for and even friends and family. It is not about art gallery quality prints but more about your day and how you saw everything. Try and make a story of 6-8 photos and please share them on our Facebook page and WhatsApp group. Hopefully the below will give you some ideas.

SUMMARY:LET'S DANCE
DESCRIPTION:A practical session based on dance! \n  \nWe hope to have various dancers to pose for us. If you have contact with any dancers please let the committee know so we can arrange a fun\, lively evening catching the action. \n  \nSo far we think we have a ballet dancer\, some jivers\, a tango dancer plus students from Phoenix Performing Arts! \nBackdrops and lighting gear will be in situ plus a throng of eager photographers! Do contribute to the evening in any way that you can please. \n  \nAs we can only have our hall on this evening (all other spaces in use) it might get a bit crowded! \nSo\, we will be asking members to take turns at the three lighting set ups. To alleviate space\, and while you are waitng your go\, the bar area beckons! \n  \n
